Butterflies

Tip: Butterflies are easily attracted to your backyard.
Plant a garden with a variety of plants & flowers
that feed both the caterpillar
& the adult butterfly.
Be sure to include a source of water in the form of a
mud puddle or wet gravel.
Tip: Some characteristics of butterflies are that
they enjoy congregating in damp sand and gravel.
If you have a natural wet area in your yard,
this will be great for the butterflies.

You could create an attraction for butterflies by
burying a bucket of sand and filling it with water.
Butterflies drink the salts from the sand along with the water.
Since the creatures are cold-blooded,
they will enjoy basking in the sunshine.
Place decorative rock in sunny spots around your garden.
These will provide a good resting site
and the heat from the rocks will provide
the warmth that butterflies enjoy.
